Day 3

Got up, fed the dogs, fed Bogie, made coffee and at 6:45 the Horizon crew arrived. A little later Tom Poplin came by to discuss the course of action for the day. There was discussion on where to locate the columns and the planting beds in relation to the house. The original drawings needed some interpretation. The severed irrigation pipes and control wires would be repaired today and linked in to the new planting beds.

Tom and I discussed house numbers and came to the conclusion that they didn't work well on the new large columns. So we talked about putting a staked house number sign in the large planting bed. By evening bags of cement, stacks of concrete block and piles of rebar had arrived ready for tomorrow.
