Day 14

The air is better today as the fires get further away. It is exciting to see the new rockwork almost completed. It makes such a statement. The crew arrived bright and early to continue the careful selection and placement of each rock. It's like a jigsaw puzzle.

The old garden bed now has a new rock facing. And the new garden bed, too. Each of the large columns is now about 2/3 complete. At the end of each day the crew sweeps up, organizes materials and washes the site. That makes it nice for us and our neighbors.

Harriett Hughes, across the driveway, told me see really like the columns. Well, tomorrow we'll see how much farther they get.
